Our Practice
Our Philosophy
There is nothing more difficult to define than beauty, in fact, I consider it impossible to define. Although, I find it so easy to recognize when I see it. Regardless of how great our understanding of harmony and beauty may be, as surgeons we are always faced with challenging limitations, unlike the painter and the poet. For them, space is less restrictive than that which the surgeon’s imagination can create. Because of this, we are often overcome by a frustration complex when dealing with a human being, where the additions and subtractions are more often subject to the laws of anatomy than to the rules of harmony.
Nevertheless, it would be impossible to manipulate living tissues, unless we possess a fine notion of balance and harmony. Therefore, not only for our spiritual well-being, but also for the perfection of our skills, a close intimacy with creativity is indispensable.
