Dr. Kirk Brandow is the founder and director of The Brandow Clinic for Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Day Spa. The doors of his private clinic and medical spa first opened in 1997, in Philadelphia suburb, Bala Cynwyd, PA. In 2002, the Delaware Valley Surgicenter was built above The Brandow Clinic, where Dr. Brandow now operates four to five days a week. In addition, Dr. Brandow has staff privileges at many Philadelphia-area hospitals. Due to his overwhelming success, a second office, located in Somers Point in Southern New Jersey opened in 2005.

Prior to the 1997 opening of his Philadelphia practice, Dr. Brandow’s impressive resume includes Chief of Cosmetic Surgery at three of Allegheny University Hospitals and Director of the Fellowship Training Program in Cosmetic Surgery at Philadelphia’s Graduate Hospital. Due to his distinguishing qualifications and expert knowledge of cosmetic surgery, Dr. Brandow was named Associate Editor of the International Journal of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Previous to his success as a cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Brandow started his early general surgical training at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering institution, as well as Yale University and St. Mary’s Hospital. From there, he was selected among the top residents from around the world to enter the Clinica Ivo Pitanguy, the most prestigious and competitive, 3-year residency-training program in the plastic and reconstructive surgery field. Upon arrival at Rio de Janeiro’s Clinica Ivo Pitanguy in Brazil, Dr. Brandow began working closely under Dr. Ivo Pitanguy, a globally recognized master in modern plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Brandow accredits his success in setting new standards in cosmetic surgery to his plastic surgery experience abroad; he has developed many innovative, minimally invasive procedures for the face, body and skin. These procedures include multiple techniques of liposculpting and body contouring, face lifts, laser treatments and the invisible-scarless breast implantation.

Dr. Brandow’s professionalism and expertise in progressive treatments led him to be named “Top Doc” for Body Contouring in 2000 and “Top Doc” for Cosmetic Surgery in 2003 by Philadelphia Magazine. He was also named “Best Plastic Surgeon on the Main Line” by Main Line Life for 2006. The Brandow Clinic was recognized by Philadelphia Magazine in their 2006 Best of Philly issue as the Best Medical Facial.

In addition, Dr. Brandow’s expertise has been featured on network and local television programs including 20/20, CNN Headline News, Good Morning America and local Philadelphia news program Action News, to provide updates and opinions on the latest trends in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Brandow uses these appearances to speak out on the current issues of cosmetic surgery, advising his patients to take a more responsible and realistic approach by avoiding the latest fads and gimmicks in cosmetic surgery. His advances and unique experience formulated his principles and practices of medical excellence, enthusiasm and a dedication to helping others.
